Greg Walton is passionate about giving back and is a motivational speaker to young people across this country on the importance of being the best you can be for yourself, your family, and your community. Husband to Alicia Walton & father to Greg Jr. (9) & Gia Jalise (4). Greg is a product of the foster care system from his younger years but managed to be the first in his immediate family to graduate high school. After a rough patch in his early adult life, in January 2006 he was accepted into Year Up.  Since graduating, he has stayed committed to Year Up’s mission to close the Opportunity Divide. Greg is the first alumnus of Year Up to join its National Board of Directors. He also served on the Boston Re-Entry Initiative (BRI) Advisory Board which worked with the Boston Police Department, the Suffolk County House of Correction, and local youth/family/community service programs to help young men transition from prison back into society. 

Currently he works at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has for the last 13 years as an IT Support Engineer. In this role he provides computer support to a plethora of departments across MIT. Greg has been featured on CNN, CNBC & The Atlantic and other news outlets for his work in motivating people with his life’s story. Greg’s mission currently is to get more people to care and serve their communities and help create a positive movement of change that enables growth and success for all.

Alicia Walton is a mother of two, Greg Jr (9) and Gia (4), and a wife of 11 years to Greg Walton Sr.. She was born and raised in Boston, MA. Her hobbies consist of arts & crafts, shopping and planning events for her close family, friends and associates.

Alicia is currently the Controller at The National Network of Abortion Funds (NNAF) in Boston, MA. She is responsible for the finance, accounting, and investment activities of NNAF. She Leads all financial administration, budgeting, financial reporting; design and manage effective and streamlined systems and internal controls to ensure effective financial management of the organization. 

She has over 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a concentration in non-profit management and accounting. Her creativity and years of experience have ensured her progress in several financial, administrative and accounting roles. 

In fall 2020, she will be graduating with her Master’s in Business Administration.
